A group of SYRIZA MPs have formally requested from the Ministry of Finances to submit in parliament the evaluation reports of Lazard Freres and Morgan Stanley, upon which the “fair” value of Eurobank’s shares we based in the recent capital increase.

In their statement the four SYRIZA MPs – Panagiotis Lafazanis, Dimitris Gelalis, Stefanos Samoilis and Fotini Kouvela – argued that the Ministy of Finances and the management of the Financial Stability Fund implemented the relevant legislation “with a complete lack of transparency”.

The MPs claim that the Lazard Freres and Morgan Stanley methodologies that the FSF published give no indication as to how the two consultants concluded on the estimate range of fair prices for the sale of Eurobank’s shares.

Additionally, the MPs have demanded the publication of correspondance between Eurobank and Lazard Freres and Morgan Stanley, as well as between the FSFS, the Ministry of Finances and the European Commission’s Directorate-Generate for Competion.
