Two doctors, one employed in a public hospital in Attica and the other in the private sector, were arrested on Monday for bribery.

According to the police report, a patient filled a complaint after the private doctor referred him to the department director at the Army Pension Fund Medical Institution (NIMTS) and to pay him 100 euros for the “service”.

After the public hospital doctor treated the patient, he demanded the 100 euros. As soon as the doctor received the money, the police arrested him and later on the private doctor.
