A primary surplus of 4.51 billion euros was achieve in the January-to-October period in 2015 compared to a target of 2.42 billion euros, according to the latest data published by the Ministry of Finances.
Specifically, the Ministry’s data shows that the budget’s net revenue amounted to 39.74 billion euros, compared to the target o 41.86 billion euros. The surplus however was achieved due to a major cut in expenses, which amounted to 40.54 billion euros, compared to a target of 44.74billion euros.
