The Prime Minister Antonis Samaras received the head of the Dow Chemical Company and the general director of IBM’s European operations in order to discuss investment plans.

According to a report by the Athens-Macedonia News Agency, the two companies are considering creating service center in Greece. The Deputy Minister of Growth Notis Mitarakis argued that these investments would create a substantial number of jobs.

The president of the Dow Chemical Company Andrew Liveris commented that his company chose to invest in Greece due to the friendly investment environment created by the PM and his team.

IBM’s European general director Rich Hume noted that his firm’s investments in Greece will support the technical capabilities and talent that exists in Greece.
