The Minister of Health Adonis Georgiadis met with the board of the Panhellenic Medical Association (PIS) and representatives of the EOPYY healthcare providers on Tuesday and despite agreement on certain matters, were unable to come to a settlement.

As such, the three sides have arranged to meet again at noon on Wednesday, in an effort to come to an agreement.

The medical association and healthcare providers’ major disagreement is about the increase of EOPYY’s budget, which is greatly dependant on the Ministry of Finances. The healthcare providers also object to the imposition of caps on the number of tests each business can carry out.
