About 2,500 diagnostic centers all over Greece are participating in a strike on Monday, in protest to the Ministry of Health’s decision to impose caps on lab exams.
The Minister of Health Adonis Georgiadis will possibly meet with representatives of healthcare service providers on Monday in an effort to find a solution.
Mr. Georgiadis appeared on NERIT and urged insured patients to go for lab exams after noon, by which point the Ministry will have requested from diagnostic centers to inform him in writing whether they intend to operate or not.
The Health Minister threatened all diagnostic centers refusing to operate with being expelled «once and a for all» from the public health care system.
