Five Indian crew members of the “Noor One”, including the tanker’s captain, a 41-year-old Turkish national with a Belgian passport and the 53-year-old Greek woman who appears to represent the ship’s management have been detained in relation to the second quantity of heroin that was located by the Coast Guard in abandoned warehouses in Koropi.

Earlier in the week, the prosecutors and investigating judges handling the case decided to detain another seven suspects who were arrested during the Coast Guard’s operation, which includes a 47-year-old Iranian man who appears to have played a critical role in the case and a 32-year-old aluminum fabricator.

Meanwhile, an estimated 18 tons of unaccounted diesel fuel has been pumped out of the “Noor One” and the authorities will continue their inspection of the tanker in order to find any other hidden compartments.
