Two firefighters were reported to have been injured during a firefight operation in Thessaloniki on Wednesday morning, when a car equipped with liquid gas canister exploded.
According to the official report, the two firefighters, one man and one woman, suffered first-degree burns on their arms and face. Neither of the injured firefighters is at risk.
The Fire Brigade had been called out to extinguish a fire that had been set on another vehicle in a food store parking lot in Thessaloniki. Six firefighters and two vehicles were dispatched.
