The main slogan of this year’s Thessaloniki Pride festival is “this is our time” and even organizers expect about 10,000 people to participate in the two-day LGBT festival.

The festival kicks off with a photography exhibition (5p) at City Hall on Friday, followed by a panel discussion (6pm) and film screenings (7pm). The first day will end with a street theater performance (9pm) from the Papalangi group and a street party (10pm).

At noon on Saturday the City Hall will host a series of talks on contemporary LGBT youth issues and the challenges faced by same-sex parents families. The preparations for the Pride Parade (5.30pm) at White Tower will feature music and short speeches, with the parade scheduled for 7:30pm.

This year’s Thessaloniki Pride will end with an open-air concert at the White Tower Square (9.30pm) featuring Zak Stefanou, Chroma, Angry Feminists, Queen V and more.
