A 22-year-old man appears to have murdered a 41-year-old homeless woman in Glyfada on Easter Sunday, according to the police.
The police apprehended the 22-year-old man after months of investigations, who has claimed to have carried out the gruesome murder as part of a satanic ritual. The 22-year-old also confessed to planning another murder for the summer solstice on the 21st of June.
Reports suggest that the 22-year-old had previously confessed his crime to his parents, who then urged him to surrender himself to the authorities, while it has also been reported that he developed an interest in the occult and Satanism at the age of 14.
According to the police report, the 22-year-old assaulted his victim with a stone, causing her extensive injuries to the face. He then drew the number 666, a cross and other occult symbols in blood on a nearby park bench.
The police later found the blood-covered stone wrapped in a bag, in a nearby garbage bin. The investigation led the police to a fake facebook profile, where the 22-year-old openly alluded to his gruesome crime and indicated that he was planning another “sacrifice” for the summer solstice.
