After meeting the newly-appointed Ministers of Culture and Health earlier in the day, the Prime Minister Antonis Samaras later met with the Ministers of Labor and Agricultural Development.

The Minister of Labor Yannis Vroutsis, who remained in place after the cabinet reshuffle, commented that the meeting was about developing better coordination. Regarding the Supreme Labor Council’s recent collective dismissal order, Mr. Vroutsis noted the Council is independent and opined that the decision was substantiated.

The newly-appointed Minister of Agricultural Development Giorgos Karasmanis stated that in his meeting with Mr. Samaras he set his Ministry’s main priorities for the immediate future. Mr. Karasmanis also divulged that the government considers agriculture to be a main driving force for growth.
