A 34-year-old Albanian man surrendered himself to the police’s counter-terrorism unit on Tuesday morning, after a European warrant for his arrest had been issued over the shooting in Aya Napa.

Based on police information the 34-year-old suspects appears to have been directly involved in the lethal shooting that left 5 dead in the Cypriot tourist resort two years and crucially, police investigations suggest he was also involved with militant groups in Greece.

Cypriot and Greek police investigations have indicated that the Albanian suspect organized the shooting and was in touch with the two Greek hit-men. The intended target of the shooting has also claimed that the 34-year-old suspect is likely aware of the operation of Greek militant groups.

The 34-year-old had been touch with Cypriot authorities regarding the operation of Greek hit-men and had been wanted by the counter-terrorism police and Interpol.

The latest police information suggests that a Greek doctor and anarchists were involved the shooting in Aya Napa, which resulted in five deaths.
