An unnamed European official made a shocking revelation to Mega Channel’s correspondent in Brussels Manolis Spinthourakis, admitting that the goal is to establish many “Ellis Islands” in Greece.
Ellis Island in New York acted a gateway to the USA, where migrants were kept until it was determined if they could enter the country. When asked if the goal is to turn the Greek islands into Ellis Islands, only without the Statue of Liberty, the European official cynically responded “yes”.
Meanwhile, in spite of the EU-Turkey agreement coming into effect on Sunday, the flow of refugees from Turkey has not been affected. A total of 1,662 refugees arrived on Sunday and Monday, with official estimates placing the number of refugees currently in Greece at 50,411.
