The Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras has arranged to meet with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Francois Hollande at noon on Thursday, on the sidelines of the critical European summit with Turkey in Brussels.

According to government spokesperson Olga Gerovasili, Greece will aim to secure an agreement between the EU and Turkey in order to reduce the flow of refugees towards the Aegean islands, while tackling the human trafficking rings.

Additionally, the aim is to increase the rate of relocating refugees from Greece to other EU member-states as well as securing emergency funding and support for countries that are on the frontline of managing the refugee crisis.
