The German Minister of Finances Wolfgang Schäuble argued that there was the possibility of an “accidental” departure of Greece from the Euro, the so-called “Graccident”, in an interview on Austrian radio.
Mr. Schäuble explained that such as possibility existed because “we do not know what those in charge in Athens will do”. He added that Greece would only receive further aid if it keeps its agreements with is creditors.
In a speech he gave on the European crisis on Thursday evening in Vienna, he estimated that Greece can overcome its debt problems, since it is on the right path towards balancing its expenses and production.
He argued that Greece must increase its competitiveness and that the country lived beyond its means for many years.
