The police announced that a police sergeant has been suspended and is awaiting trial for forgery and illegal firearm possession charges and will also face an administrative inquiry.
Τhe police sergeant appears to have taken a leaf out of Michalis Liapis’ book, as he was found to have affixed counterfeit license plates on two motorcycles belonging to him. During the investigation that followed a pair of knuckledusters was recovered from one of motorcycles.
After charges were pressed against the police sergeant, he was taken to the Misdemeanor Prosecutor of Athens to state his plea.
