The Albanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has responded to the Greek government in relation to the planned demolition of the homes of Greek expatriates in Chimarra.
According to the Albanian Ministry the demolitions are not based on any type of discrimination, adding that are transparent and lawful. The Albanian Ministry argues that Athens’ position is “anachronistic” and claims that the demolitions are part of a plan to turn the city into a European tourist destination.
