Supplementary pensions may be further slashed in November, with about 250,000 pensioners possibly facing cuts up to 50 euros. The measure is included in the omnibus bill on prior actions that will soon be submitted in Parliament.

According to the bailout agreements, the Greek government has to carry out 170 million euros worth of retroactive cuts in supplementary pensions by the end of the year. The government however managed to negotiate a deal to spread these retroactive cuts into 2017 and has set a 50-euro cap.
