Greek tennis champion Maria Sakkari ranks 94th world wide

The Women’s Tennis Association has ranked Maria Sakkari 94^th in the world, thanks to a series of impressive appearances in recent international tournaments.

Last year the Greek champion ranked 188^th and the year before she ranked 301^st. By ranking within the top 100 players, Sakkari automatically qualified for the Grand Slams.

The 21-year-old tennis champion made her Grand Slam debut in 2015 at the US Open and made her second appearance at the Australian Open in 2016.
