Three men aged 18, 20 and 27 years old have been arrested for a string of taxi driver robberies in the area of Megara, with the police searching for a 22-year-old accomplice.

According to the police, the gang had been operating for about four months in the area. The members would typically hail taxis in afternoon and evening hours near hospitals and ask to be taken to a remote area. There they would immobilize the drivers and violent take money, electronic devices and other valuables.

So far twelve taxi driver robberies have been confirmed, with the police investigation continuing.
