An outbreak of hepatitis A has been reported at the refugee center at Nea Kavala, with eight children – aged 2 to 18 – having to be hospitalized at Kilkis.

The General Hospital of Kilkis has issued a statement explaining that there have been no complications, that two have already been discharged, while the remaining five are showing improvement.

Additionally, the Center of Disease Control and Prevention (KEELPNO) has arranged for another 158 people who came in contact with these eight children to be inoculated next week.
