The European Commission is confident that the Greek government will complete the necessary outstanding reforms in order to receive the next loan payment.

This is evident by Economic Affairs Commissioner Pierre Moscovici, who told the European Parliament in Strasbourg that “Greek authorities have done 95 per cent of changes necessary but not all is finalized. Some changes have to be made in the coming hours”.

The Commissioner was “confident Athens will use the time before the Eurogroup to finalize the limited issues that are still open”, so that a decision on the disbursement of the 7.5 billion euro tranche is decided soon, at the upcoming Eurogroup meeting of June 16

According to European Commission VP Valdis Dombrovskis, one of the terms is the formation of an independent tax collecting agency.
