The Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras has traveled to Thessaloniki for the inauguration ceremony for the construction of the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAG-AG).
Upon completion, the ambitious pipeline will offer a direct and cost-effective transportation route opening up the vital Southern Gas Corridor, a 3500-kilometre long gas value chain stretching from the Caspian Sea to Europe.
The pipeline construction is expected to last about three years and will generate about 8,000 jobs.
