The Governor of the Bank of Greece Yannis Stournaras and the caretaker Minister of Finances Giorgos Houliarakis have arranged to meet at 17:30 on Tuesday in order to discuss the latest developments regarding the bank recapitalization.
Reportedly the afternoon meeting will focus on the ongoing procedures which aim to determine the capital needs of the banks, as well as the technical and legislative actions that need to be taken by the 25th of October, so that the recapitalization may be complete by mid December.
Also on the agenda will be the European Union’s Bank Recovery and Resolution Directive (BRRD), the deferred bank tax, as well as other aspects related to the first review of the Greek bailout program.
