According to the revised study conducted by the tourist enterprise association (SETE), about 19 million tourists are expected to visit Greece in 2014, compared to the 18.5 million euros of the previous estimate.

The study shows that the influx of tourists is in part attributed to the planned increase of flights to Greece from abroad compared to 2013.

Additionally, the study shows a shift in the mix of lights, with 51% of flights to Greece being regularly scheduled flights and 49% being chartered flights. SETE argues that this is due to the improvement of tourist demand.
