The Greek people cast their vote on Sunday in the first round of elections for local government. With the count not having been complete yet, the tentative results for the major municipalities are as follows:

Athens (97.66% of votes counted)

  • Giorgos Kaminis – 21.01%
  • Gabriel Sakellaridis – 20.00%
  • Aris Spiliotopoulos – 16.94%
  • Ilias Kasidiaris – 16.15%

Piraeus (94.10% of votes counted)

  • Yannis Moralis – 33.20%
  • Vasilis Michaloliakos – 31.29%
  • Theodoros Dritsas – 17.13%

Thessaloniki (93.43% of votes counted)

  • Yannis Boutaris – 36.03%
  • Stavros Kalafatis – 26.21%
  • Triantafyllos Mitafidis – 10.53%

Patra (87.38% of votes counted)

  • Konstantinos Peletidis – 25.29%
  • Konstantinos Christopoulos – 23.72%
  • Konstantinos Spartinos – 15.40%

Iraklio (71.21% of votes counted)

  • Yannis Kourakis 40.71%
  • Vasilios-Georgios Lamprinos – 28.25%
    Ilias Ligeros – 20.86%
