The General Secretary of Public Revenue Harris Theoharis announced via his facebook profile that anyone falsely applying for the social dividend benefit will face legal action.

Mr. Theoharis explained that so far about 60,000 applications have been submitted with erroneous data, after a preliminary cross-check of data was performed by the General Secretariat’s services.

The most frequent “mistakes” uncovered by the cross-checks are submitting a wrong address and wrong number of co-habitants. Mr. Theoharis urged anyone aware of such mistakes to resubmit an application with correct data, or face legal action.
