The Ministry of Growth’s controversial open-air market bill went through in Parliament on Tuesday, after the Minister of Growth Kostis Hatzidakis introduced a number of changes at the request of PASOK.

In total, 141 MPs voted in favor and 98 MPs voted against the Ministry’s bill. During the vote, the Minister of Growth announced minor changes to the duration of fairs (which are extended up to 15 days), while granting municipal councils the authority to regulate them, as per PASOK’s request.
