Tsakalotos expects an agreement for the bailout review by 22 April

The Minister of Finance Euclid Tsakalotos estimated that there will be an agreement for the bailout program review by the 22^nd of April.

Mr. Tsakalotos commented that “there are many players with different opinions, but many players want to find a solution and I think that it will be found by the 22^nd of April”.

According to the Minister of Finance, there has been progress in the negotiations on the income tax and pension system reform. Mr. Tsakalotos also noted that the institution heads will return to Athens on the 2^nd of April, with talks resuming on the 4^th of April.

“The aim is to conclude the first phase by the 12-13 of April, when the spring meeting of the IMF is held in Washington and the goal is to reach a final agreement” he added in Parliament.

During his intervention in Parliament, the Minister took the opportunity to refute rumors about tax hikes and expressed his surprise on his implication in various meetings.
