The farmers at the Tempi Valley and Nikea road blocks have called general meetings in order to discuss their future strike actions, following their recent talks with the Prime Minister and government,

The meeting at Nikea is scheduled for 5pm, while the meeting in Tempi will take place later on in the evening, at 7pm. There is major uncertainty, particularly in the case of Tempi, since the recent escalation of the refugee crisis has complicated matters.

Meanwhile, the nationwide road block committee, which represents 69 farmer road blocks, issued a statement on the recent talks with the Prime Minister and government. The committee underlines that the farmers remain vigilant and are prepared to carry on their struggle, based on what the government decides next.
