The leader of the main opposition Kyriakos Mitsotakis will meet with the President of the Hellenic Republic Prokopis Pavlopoulos at 12:15. The urgent, midday meeting is reportedly going to focus on the refugee crisis and latest developments.
“I came to express my major concern over the refugee crisis and developments” the New Democracy leader told the President upon arrival. The President responded thanked Mr. Mitsotakis for meeting to discuss in such a crucial moment.
Prior to the meeting with the President, Mr. Mitsotakis spoke with Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras over the phone, with reports indicating that they focused on the refugee crisis.
