The Minister of Justice Nikos Paraskevopoulos has called a meeting at 2pm on Wednesday in order to discuss how to expedite the major trials, in light of the recent release from remand of self-confessed Golden Dawn murderer Giorgos Roupakias.

As such, Mr. Paraskevopoulos will be accompanied by the Alternate Minister of Justice Dimitris Papangelopoulos, the President of the Supreme Court Vasiliki Thanou and the presidents of the Bar Associations of Athens Vasilis Alexandris and Piraeus Giorgos Stamatogiannis.

Main opposition leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis recently highlighted the delays in Justice, during his meeting with Mrs. Thanou and prosecutor Efterpi Koutzamani on Tuesday. Mrs. Thanou also argued that the lawyers on strike must allow the Golden Dawn trial to carry on.
