A survey conducted by GPO for Mega Channel shows SYRIZA is ahead of New Democracy by 0.5% in the upcoming European elections, while New Democracy has a 1.4% lead if national elections were to take place.
GPO’s survey was conducted between the 8th and 12th of May. When asked who they intend to vote for in the upcoming elections for European Parliament, the responds answered as follows:
- SYRIZA – 21.5%
- New Democracy – 21%
- The River – 8.5%
- Golden Dawn – 7.5%
- KKE 7%
- The Olive Tree – 6%
- ANEL – 3.7%
- DIMAR – 3%
- ANTARSYA – 1%
- LAOS – 1.1%
- Undecided – 13.8%
The Union for the Country and the People (Byron Polydoras’ party) and the Ecologists also got about 1% of the vote.
When the researchers asked about who the participants would vote for should national elections be called, the responses were as follows:
- New Democracy – 24.5%
- SYRIZA – 23.1%
- The River – 7%
- Golden Dawn – 6.9%
- KKE – 7.2%
- The Olive Tree – 5.9%
- ANEL – 4%
- DIMAR – 2.8%
- Undecided – 12.1%
