The Coast Guard has reported that the Mare Di Levante ferry boat and the Harmony G tourist boat collided in the port of Kyllini on Monday afternoon.
It appears that the collision occurred when the ferry boat was attempting to tie up to the dock. At the time there were 660 passengers and 37 crew members on board the ferry boat, however no injuries were reported.
Although the ferry boat was virtually unscathed from the collision and carried on its journey to Zakynthos, the smaller tourist vessel will have to undergo repairs for damages to the left and right side of its bow, as well as above its waterline.
