The audacity of the Prime Minister’s statement on last year’s referendum goes beyond defies all political rationality. After having divided the Greek people with his decision to gamble the country’s future with a deceptive referendum and terrified from the consequences, he denounced those who trusted him within a few hours. And now, without an inkling of shame, as if he were referring to forgetful or simple people, he stated that the “No” was a profound act of resistance towards the European austerity and establishment, which had been planning to ruin our country…

And all this on the day that Galbraith, who was a secret government consultant, revealed that there plans to leave the euro and return to the drachma. This plan has been confirmed by the inquisitive Mr. Varoufakis, who had the full backing of Mr. Tsipras…

These games and these delusions, by the Prime Minister’s own admission, had and continue to have a major impact on the country, economy and society. We risked turning into a Latin American banana republic because Mr. Tsipras and his minister had no sense of reality, because they ignored and were indifferent towards the consequences of their choices.

In Britain the Prime Minister who led his country to a Brexit at least had the political bravery to assume his responsibility to resign. Over here we did not of course expect Mr. Tsipras to have the courage to resign. But not only did not have the basic decency to apologize for the situation, but he also think that he can fool the people forever, by celebrating a divisive referendum which he called and the ignored. O tempora o mores…
