A sailboat is being tugged to the marina of Kalamata for repairs, after it collided with a cargo ship, about 12 nautical miles south of Pylos.
The two sailboat passengers are said to be in good health and reported that the cargo ship did not stop after the collision and maintained its course.
A Coast Guard vessel and nearby fishing boats were quick to respond to the emergency.
