The president of European Stability Mechanism Klaus Regling has reiterated the Eurogroup’s commitment to debt relief, provided that the Greek government carries out the necessary structural reforms.
“If the Greek government continues to implement reforms, Eurogroup commitment to more debt relief is there, is very firm” he argued in an interview with Japanese newspaper Yomiuri Shimbun.
Mr. Regling also praised the efforts and “remarkable progress in structural reforms” of the Greek government so far and argued that despite the difficulties it must carry on with its program.
