The elections on Sunday finally put an end to the uncertainty that plagued the country for past few months. It is the necessary, but not sufficient, condition in order to begin the effort of reconstructing the economy and productive fabric, which have suffered dearly from the crisis and instability.

The new government that will be announced on Tuesday has the daunting task of implementing the agreement with the creditors on the one hand and seeking out alternatives growth pathways that will gradually restore normality in the country.

The Tsipras government, with its fresh and clear mandate from the people, may have a four-year outlook, as the Prime Minister underlined, but it must first face the uphill struggle of implementing measures and reforms by next. The determination, consequence and realism which the government will demonstrate during this time will determine, to a great extent, how successful it will be.

With SYRIZA’s leadership having declared its decision on securing the country’s membership in the euro zone, which was in turn endorsed by the overwhelming majority of the people, there is no more room for delays or ambivalences.

The people know that the next few months will be difficult and Mr. Tsipras and his staff are fully aware of the weight and cost of responsibility that they are assuming.

The challenge for everyone is for Greece to finally leave behind the insecurity and uncertainty. There is no other option, if we want the country to return to normality. Mr. Tsipras convinced the people that he has the will and plant to materialize this promise. As of tomorrow he has full responsibility, with the ministers that he selects to implement his promise.
