The MPs Stathis Boukouras and Chrysovalantis Alexopoulos, formerly of Golden Dawn, will face the investigative prosecutor today regarding their involvement in the criminal activities of the neo-Nazi party.

Boukouras, who broke down in tears in Parliament during the discussion to lift his immunity, is facing charges of joining and directing a criminal organization as well as possession of firearms with the intent to supply a criminal organization. The MP denied all charges against him and was given until the 2nd June to prepare his plea.

The other former Golden Dawn MP, Chrysovalantis Alexopoulos, who also vehemently denies the main charge of joining and directing a criminal organization, has claimed the party’s criminal practices «tarnish the values of patriotism» and that he started to consider leaving the party after the murder of Pavlos Fyssas.
