An earthquake was largely felt in Thessaloniki and surrounding areas this morning, at around 5:15am. Car drivers reported that the earthquake was so intense that they could feel it while driving.
According to the Geodynamics Institute of the National Observatory of Athens the earthquake measured about 4.4 on the Richter scale and occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers and 35 kilometers north of Polygyros. No damages have been reported.
