The upcoming general strike that ADEDY and GSEE announced for Tuesday the 16th of July will affect public transport.

Train operator TRAINOSE has announced that a number of services will be cancelled on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

On Tuesday the Metro service between Doukissis Plakentias and the Airport will not operate. Buses will only operate between 9am and 9pm.

The cancelled train services are the following:

On Monday the 15th of July (a day before the strike):

  • Athens – Thessaloniki – Athens (500, 501)
  • Alexandroupoli – Dikaion (1686)
  • Thessaloniki – Edessa – Florina –Thessaloniki (743, IC 85)
  • Thessaloniki – Larissa – Thessaloniki (3593, 3592)
  • Larissa – Volos – Larissa (2576, 2577)
  • Piraeus – Halkida (2536)

On Tuesday the 16th of July (day of the strike):

All passenger and commercial services on the network are cancelled, except tourist service to: Olympia – Pyrgos – Katakolo and A. Lehona – Milies

On Wednesday the 17th of July (a day after the strike):

  • Alexandroupoli – Dikaion (1681)
  • Florina – Thessaloniki (IC 82)
