European Commissioner Pierre Moscovici has urged all sides to remain calm, in relation to the Greek government’s decision to table bills on income tax and pension reform next week.

When asked by Le Monde on the Greek government’s intention to legislate without creditor agreement, Mr. Moscovici commented that all sides must remain calm and that the Commission aims to play a mediating role.

Mr. Moscovici also estimated that the bailout program review may conclude in April, provided there is ‘good will’ and work carried out. He also regarded the IMF’s spring meeting as an opportunity to discuss the bailout review and debt relief.
