The European Commissioner for Migration, Home Affairs and Citizenship Dimitris Avramopoulos is expected in Idomeni on Tuesday, along with the Commission’s chief spokesperson Margaritis Schinas.
During his visit in the northern Greek town, the European Commissioner will survey the refugee camp that has been set up and have talks with local officials regarding the overall situation.

Aside from the European Commissioner and spokesperson, the president of the main opposition party Kyriakos Mitsotakis is also expected to visit Idomeni.
