The critical omnibus bill containing a series of prior actions that have been agreed upon and are required by Greece’s creditors, in order to unlock additional financial aid, is being debated in Parliament.
On Wednesday, when the omnibus bill was debated by the Parliamentary Committees, the junior coalition government member, the Independent Greeks, voted against an article on the taxation of breweries, with article ultimately being rejected from the omnibus bill.
The overall discussion is expected to conclude late in the evening and will be followed up by a roll call vote, on principle and individual articles, at the request of main opposition party New Democracy.
