After recently exchanging letters and opening a channel of communication, representatives from opposition parties SYRIZA and DIMAR have arranged to meet on Thursday in Parliament to continue talks.
With the upcoming Presidential election potentially triggering early elections, SYRIZA leader Alexis Tsipras has focused on seeking out and developing alliances with other parties in Parliament. In response, DIMAR president Fotis Kouvelis invited SYRIZA for talks to examine such possibilities.
At the meeting scheduled to take place at noon on Thursday, the two arranged to discuss creating an opposition front against the coalition government’s legislative plans and Presidential election.
