Not a week has gone past since a fire in a DEI power plant resulted in an island-wide black out and residents of the island face a new power outage.
Deputy Mayor Markos Kafouros explained on Mega Channel’s morning chat show that the electricity was abruptly cut at about 8.30 am, with power restored to part of the island shortly after.
The island’s mayor Anastasios-Nikolaos Zorzos later spoke to SKAI 100.3 FM and stated that this morning’s power outage is attributed to a short-circuit of the network outside the power plant. He also promised that power would be fully restored by 10.30 am.
