The federation of technical university (TEI) professors has issued an announcement condemning the financial problems plaguing the universities. The federation maintains that these financial problems hinder the operation of the institutions.
The federation reports that that the new cuts of both temporary and permanent staff, regular budget cuts and other changes contained in the Ministry of Education’s controversial “Athina” reform program will lead to the certain closure of the universities.
