The Greek Paralympic team continues to impress at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games, with power-lifter Pavlos Mamalos winning his first gold medal in the Games and fourth overall for Greece. Mamalos won the gold medal in the powerlifting men’s 107 kg event that took place on Wednesday.

Greece has also also won gold medals in men’s shot put from Athanasios Konstantinidis and Che Jon Fernandes, and in men’s javeling throw from Manolis Stefanoudakis. Silver medals have come from Dimitrios Senekidis in mens’ shot put, Panagiotis Triantafyllou in men’s individual saber and Athanasios Konstantinidis (again) in mens’ club throw.

Bronze medals have also come from Dimitrios Zisidis in men’s shot put, Dimitrios Bakochristos in powerlifting, Dimitra Korokida in women’s shot put and in the mixed pairs Boccia event.
