The meeting between the Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and the representatives of the farmer coordinating committees has been rescheduled for noon on Monday.

According to the Minister of Agricultural Development Evangelos Apostolou almost all coordinating committees have been informed and responded to the call. Mr. Apostolou added that the road for discussion is always open.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Labor is considering changes to its tax and pension reform proposals, in relation to farmer demands. As such, Ta Nea claims that the improvements involve making hike of income tax rates more gradual.

As such, for 2017-18 the rate will be 10%, for 2019-2020 15% and for 2021 onwards it will be 20%. The initial plan provided 14%, 17% and 20% rates respectively.
