A new round of demonstrations against the government’s controversial pension system reform begins on Wednesday, as scientific bodies have arranged a demonstration outside the Ministry of Infrastructure, Transports and Networks, between 10am and 1pm.

Earlier on Monday, the presidents of the scientific bodies met at the headquarters of the union of chemists and decided to send a letter of complaint over the pension system reform to the Prime Minister, political leaders and European Commission.

In their letter of complaint, the bodies make it clear that the coalition government’s reform plans is focused on generating taxes and will hamper economic growth. The bodies insist on the government abandoning the controversial plan and will only enter talks if the government presents an actuarial report.
